Prayer and Praise Ministries was founded in 1990 under the pastoral leadership of Arthur and Dorothy Porter. Upon walking through the doors of the church, people encounter a loving, welcoming environment filled with smiles, hugs, and warm greetings. The members of Prayer and Praise Ministries desire for all people to have a meaningful relationship with Christ, thus, from the beginning, Prayer and Praise Ministries has been dedicated to community service, and biblical teaching.

Prayer and Praise Ministries continues to look ahead and envision where the church will be in the coming years. The projection of the church is to increase their involvement within the community by continuing with the clothing ministry for less fortunate, adding a quarterly food give away, and adding to the amount of people fed at the Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner and Friends and Family Day. We plan on doing this through our giving campaign entitled Project Love, Serve and Build. We encourage each person of the church to participate in a surge of volunteer service, food drives, clothing drives and more to support people in need. We are working to sponsor holiday dinners for families as well.

Love. Serve. Build. Without these three actions, Prayer and Praise Ministries wouldn’t exist. These three verbs are the fabric of our mission. With the help of Christ, Prayer and Praise Ministries will continue to love, serve, and build the people of Ontario and the surrounding community.
